about me

Not a success story...
an ongoing one.

I'm Nora. I'm a working mom with three jobs, two kids, and a debt number that makes me nauseous to look at.

I started sharing my money stuff online a few years ago because I couldn't find anyone talking about debt who still had it. Everyone's story was past tense. "I paid off $80k and here's how." Cool. But what about the part where you're still in it? Where the budget is tight and you just spent $400 on car repairs you didn't plan for? That part doesn't get a YouTube thumbnail.

So I started talking about it while it was happening. Real balances, real setbacks, what I actually earned from side hustles and what flopped.

What I cover here

Side hustle income. I've tried a lot of things to make money outside my day job. Notion templates, affiliate marketing, freelancing, content creation. Some of it worked. Some of it made me $12 after 40 hours of effort. I share the actual numbers because vague "I started earning online" posts help no one.

Debt payoff. My husband and I are paying down six figures of debt. Not student loans either. It's home repairs, credit cards, personal loans, the usual cocktail of life-happens-and-also-we-made-bad-choices. This isn't a success story yet. It's a story in progress, and I write about it that way.

The thing I keep coming back to

We've made very different incomes over the years. Low months, high months. The feeling of being broke didn't change with the paycheck. What changed it was the budget and the debt. That's the whole thesis behind everything I put out. Income alone doesn't fix it. I know that sounds like something you'd read on a motivational poster, but I've lived both sides of it, and the math backs it up.

The quick version

I work full-time in data analytics. I freelance on the side. I make Notion templates and digital products. I have a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old, two dogs (Kiah and Moose), and two cats (Whiskey and Maple).

I play Dungeons and Dragons with my cousins, go to church with my family on Sundays, and garden with my kids in the summer. I'm not grinding 24/7. I like working, but I also like my life, and I want to keep time for it.

Where to find me

I post on TikTok, make longer videos on YouTube, and write here on the blog. My newsletter is where I go deeper. Income updates, debt check-ins, the stuff that doesn't fit in a 60-second video. If you want the full picture, that's where to start.
